Framed Print

This is the framed print I ordered from dA in December. The print is not matted, it was prepared with borders to simulate matting. It is not currently in the print shop this way, but can be easily resubmitted by request.

If you like the look of a matt and the convenience of ordering your prints from dA already framed, this is a really nice way to do that.

If anyone would like to order any print in my shop (or gallery) this way, please note me and I will prepare a custom print and upload it to dA for you. The borders can be black, white, off white or a color of your choice. The inside (narrow) border will have a light bevel applied to add a dimensional look that also simulates the look of a separate cut matt.

This print is 18x24 with a narrow black frame. This black simulated matt with the narrow black frame looks great and was a good choice. I am very happy with it.

dA does not frame under glass. They use an unbreakable acrylic which is OK, but it has a little bit of distortion so the reflections are slightly different than it would be with glass.
