Too good not too share

TWO WOLVES

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

"One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

"The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

:wave: Hi Everyone, I just found this amongst a collection of jokes and decided it really was just too good not to share. I thought it would be best standing on its own as a reminder to myself to make sure I always feed the right wolf, but I thought I would also share it with my friends here because it has been so long since I have checked in with all of you.

The party for my Mother on October 24th was awesome beyond description with guests coming from as far away as Alaska and Utah, 66 in total. However much it was so worth it, the planning got me even more backed-up on everything. It was almost two weeks ago and I am just now getting to a point where I can even provide an update to my Internet friends. I have placed some of that at my blog spot here [link] as well as updating my health time line here [link] for anyone who wants all the details. I am afraid it will be after Thanksgiving before I will get a chance to catch up on what all of you have been doing in my absence, but I might check in for a few minutes every now and again just to get a little dA fix and check out as many of you as I can. I will try to find a way to let you know I was there if I come visiting. Maybe just a wave or a fave here and there :wave: + :+fav: = :heart: :heart: :heart:. When I am able to return I also hope to have a few images to share, the party, the portrait session I had a while back and a few other images I have captured while out and about with the camera. That is the good news in all of this because while I have been incommunicado, I have also had a little bit of time to snap away whenever I have been able to get out of the house. The first half of 2009 was pretty dismal for me from a photography perspective. Maybe I will be able to make up for some of that...... but I still have a lot to get caught up on first. Sigh...

Finally, for Cindy. An ID photo that really is me, not just someone who looks like I did way back when. It was actually taken way back when. Can you count the eyes?

I am just a silly old woman enjoying what I have left of my life with photography and Photoshop. Art, photography and I have been together for a very long time and I have many web pages to show for it. A Message To My Visitors and Watchers

:wave: Hi Everyone,

I find myself increasingly getting behind on deviations and responding to messages & comments. At the same time I am finding less time available to be here. So, I am thinking it is time to address the volume here that I might still enjoy my time at dA and stay in touch with all of my friends. I do not plan to delete anything just yet, but I have decided that I might not be able to look at all of the new deviations or answer all of the messages in a timely manner. So please help me out by:

1. Sending me a note if you have an urgent message that I need to answer so that it doesn't get buried in a back log of comments and messages.

2. Please let me know (by note whenever possible) if you have featured me so that I can keep my feature quilt current.

3. Keep featuring lots of wonderful new art and photography, so that I can enjoy the best of what you love and keep faving new things, even when I am not able to look at every new submission. I really do enjoy reading all of your journals, even if I don't leave comments and most of the time I do read all of them.

4. Along the same idea, if you upload a deviation that you know I'd be particularly interested in seeing, please let me know about it so there won't be any chance that I will miss it.

5. Please know how much I appreciate all of my watchers, old and new, as well as all of your faves and comments. So consider this my thank you in advance, just in case it takes me a while to get back to you.
